๐ŸŽ‰ Good News for Outstanding Projects

๐Ÿ† Publication Opportunity for the Strongest Projects

The main judges will nominate the strongest NURAI 2026 projects for scientific publication in the NURAI Journal / Al-Ayen University Proceedings after completing the approved evaluation and scientific review pathway. The NURAI Journal will also be issued in both printed and electronic formats for outstanding projects.

Important note: For fairness and neutrality, the first evaluation copy must be anonymous and must not include student, supervisor, or university names. Nominated works are then forwarded to the Higher Publication Committee for final approval.

Academic announcement for outstanding projects: nomination for publication after judgesโ€™ review and higher publication approval.

About the Championship

The National University Robotics Championship is a national scientific event organized under the supervision of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to enhance technical creativity and motivate students to develop their practical and theoretical skills in robotics, intelligent systems, control, computer vision, artificial intelligence, and autonomous systems.

The championship is built around six specialized competitive tracks covering the mechanical, electronic, software, and engineering aspects of modern robotics, serving as a national platform to discover talent and support applied projects in Iraqi universities.

Championship Vision

To become Iraqโ€™s largest applied scientific platform for showcasing engineering talent and building an innovative research environment in robotics and artificial intelligence, aligned with the global direction of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR).

The Fourth Industrial Revolution is the current stage of technological development, integrating the physical, digital, and biological worlds.

Championship Mission

To empower Iraqi students and researchers to develop their technical skills through advanced scientific competitions, promote the culture of applied research, teamwork, and innovation, strengthen collaboration between universities and industry, and support promising projects to become products of national value.

Championship Objectives

The championship aims to achieve the following:

  • Promote applied scientific research and connect it to community needs.
  • Develop student skills in artificial intelligence, robotics, and mechatronics.
  • Encourage teamwork and multidisciplinary collaboration.
  • Connect student projects with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
